一个15 K 月租嘅單位,市值應該 6 M 左右,每年繳交嘅差餉及地租,夾埋係 14.4 K,比對單位市值,每年即係交時間稅係 0.24 % 咋! 呢个比率係所有發達國家中是高或低呢?

致使居於界限街南北的人,富者愈富,貧者愈貧 === land rent can make such a serious problem ??????? IF too poor , then sell the flat , no need to pay land rent anymore !

今夕吾軀歸故土,他朝君體也相同,港島區绝大部分私楼地契,(呢度不包括唔少半山区楼及太古城)將於可見將來要到期續約,到時大家齐齐交地租,咪平等翻啦!

發達國家買樓時未包地税,所以樓價勁平,但係每年攤俾嘅地税就要3個月嘅租金先搞掂,所以無得同香港比較.

Totally agreed, not only 界限街以北,also 界限街以南,all 1985年5月27日(即中英聯合聲明生效日)或以後獲批土地契約的物業, ie those new flat owners need to pay the government rent too.
As HK already having such high property price, I see no point to pay extra for the government rent, as if it is required to maintain the ownership of the land by the government, can't it be charged symbolic like for e.g. $1 !!!
